05/17/2010 - Mick Ronson induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
It's been brought to my attention that there is a petition circulating around the net to induct Mick Ronson into the R&R Hall of Fame. The fact that this is even being questioned is absurd to me. Mick was one of the driving forces behind an entire generation of music. Mick Ronson played with some of the biggest names in Rock and Roll: Bowie, Dylan, Van Morrison, Lou Reed, Ian Hunter, John Cale, T-Bone
Burnett, etc etc, the list reads like a who's who of Modern music. The fact that this brilliant musician/composer/producer's induction must be petitioned simply tells me that the R&RHOF doesn't know anything at all about music or who created it. It makes me fear for all the rest that so much deserve to be there and will be overlooked because we didn't know that you had to raise hell and start petitions.
