9th Annual Pagan Festival and Pride Parade
The 9th Annual Pagan Festival will be held on Saturday May 8, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park in downtown Berkeley; next to the Farmers Market. The parade will begin at noon and travel through the streets of Berkeley ending at Civic Center Park. The Pagan Festival is free and is a family fun event.
The theme of this years festival is Spiral of Life Our 2010 Keeper of the Light is joi wolfwomyn. M.C.s are Shay Black and Diana Rowan.
The Festival will feature an Interfaith Public Ritual, Interactive Community Altars, a Green Pavilion, Druid Storytelling, Speakers Pavilion, Authors Circle, Childrens Craft Area, Vendors, Local Organizational Information.
Prizes awarded for Best Costumes and Best Parade Float.
Guest speakers: Sam Webster, T. Thorn Coyle, Heaven Walker, Victoria Slind-Flor, zsuzsi Fern
With Performances by Land of the Blind, Na Leo Nahenahe, Women and Song, Beltaine's
Fire, Pagan Family Circle Songs, and Black Hoody Girl Ritual Bellydance and Blood of Kvasir.
Donations encouraged to the Alameda Food Bank. Please bring canned goods.
